World Health Day is a global health awareness day conducted by the World Health Organisation (WHO). This year the organisation is focused on universal health coverage. Universal health coverage (UHC) is about ensuring all people and communities have access to quality health services where and when they need them, without suffering financial hardship.
“At least half of the world’s people are currently unable to obtain essential health services.”
Get involved this April by:
- Volunteering with the organisation
- Talking about the issue to prevent stigma
- Organising fundraisers
- Raising awareness on social media
- Watching informative videos
- Participating in the events organised by the World Health Organisation
