World Diabetes Day 2017 – 14 November
World Diabetes Day is an international event to raise awareness about diabetes, celebrated every year on 14 November. Diabetes is a serious complex condition which can affect the entire body. Diabetes requires daily self care and if complications develop, diabetes can have a significant impact on quality of life and can reduce life expectancy. While there is currently no cure for diabetes, you can live an enjoyable life by learning about the condition and effectively managing it.
It is difficult to estimate the exact number of people with diabetes in Australia, but it is likely that more than 1.2 million Australians are living with the disease.
