National Superhero Week 2017

National Superhero Week for Muscular Dystrophy is a week-long event in which people across Australia dress up as their favourite superhero to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Australia’s programs, services and research. Muscular dystrophies are genetic disorders characterized by progressive muscle wasting and weakness that begin with microscopic changes in the muscle.

“It is estimated that there are more than 20,000 people in Australia who have some form of neuromuscular disease.”
